Sexy Skins began as a brand of Leather and Suede Apparel geared to the biker world. Through our journey however, we recognized there was a need among all lovers of leather for apparel that is customized to each person's sense of style, and tailored for fit.

At Sexy Skins Leather Fashions we offer Semi-Custom leather apparel, as well as, provide a service where we work with clients individually to design and create one-of-a-kind Custom leather pieces; from bikinis to bridal, to pieces worn on, and off the stage.

Some may wonder how a 300 pound air cooled twin engine could have enough power to change the world. It can. It did. It changed mine.

My first experience as a motorcycle rider was on a Rebel 250cc and my life has never been the same. I found the freedom of the ride, and the courage to live my life and follow my dreams. A whole new world opened, and with it, came new friends, with new experiences, and leather.

I began my search to find leather apparel which was stylish, fashionable, and would fit my womanly stature with all of my "curvatude". I wanted to stand out amongst the sea of black biker apparel. I also wanted to wear leather which was soft, luxurious, and would feel like a second skin when out riding. Designs which would lift and support, hug all my curves, and make me feel beautiful and sore with confidence.

I couldn't find it. So, in 2006, I founded Sexy Skins. And ever since, I have been committed to the design and creation of leather fashions which impart a feel-good attitude upon its wearer; designs which evoke a sense of confidence, beauty, and empowerment. Women and Men, Young and Old, Large and Small.

Lisa Cantalupo is an artist, 3rd generation fashion designer, leather lover, Mother, motorcycle rider, chocoholic, and graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she was the recipient of numerous awards of distinction such as; the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Award for Excellence in Design, the Lord & Taylor Dress Design Competition Scholarship Award, and an internship with Leslie Fay in New York City.

In 1991, Lisa made her professional debut at The Boston Designers Collaborative Press Expo Fashion Show, showcasing her collection which ranged from swimwear and sportswear, to eveningwear and wedding gowns. It was Boston's leading fashion designer and BDC founder, Geoffrey B. Small, who said of Lisa's collection, "very hip...very original, slick and elegant....tutto Perfetto!" and compared her work to the likes of Romeo Gigli, Blass, and Moschino.

But it was Lisa’s love for riding her motorcycle which awakened her passion for leather. She purchased a few hides and designed a few pieces which she wore to bike rallies and biker events catching the attention of both women and men.
