Some may wonder how a 300 pound air cooled twin engine could have enough power to change the world. It can. It did. It changed mine.

My first experience as a motorcycle rider was on a Rebel 250cc and my life has never been the same. I found the freedom of the ride, and the courage to live my life and follow my dreams. A whole new world opened. And with it, came new friends, with new experiences, and leather. I needed it. I wanted it.

My search to find leather apparel which was stylish, fashionable, and would fit my womanly stature with all of my "curvatude" had begun. I wanted to stand out amongst the sea of black biker apparel. I also wanted to wear leather which was soft, luxurious, and would feel like a second skin when out riding. Designs which would lift and support, hug all my curves, and make me feel beautiful and sore with confidence.

I couldn't find it. So, I founded Sexy Skins.

The Sexy Skins Made-to-Fit Line is when we take the pattern of an existing Sexy Skins design and alter it to fit your body, type, and size, and then customize; you choose the type of leather, and the color of leather, and small changes to the design are free, therefore we can close up the front to cover your tummy, change a cup size, cinch it here, and tuck it there.

Sexy Skins Custom designed clothing, is when we create a design especially for you; your specific needs and desires, taste and style. We make a pattern which is tailored to your body, and using your measurements. We gather samples of leather; any type, any texture, and any color. It can be your vision, or our vision for you. Lisa's fashion experience began in her childhood designing and creating clothing and costumes with her mother, a sample maker for a Boston fashion designer. Lisa's experience continued when she attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design and was the recipient of numerous awards of distinction for her talents in fashion design such as; the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Award for Excellence in Design, the Lord & Taylor Dress Design Competition Scholarship Award, and an internship with Leslie Fay in New York City.

It was in 1991 when Lisa made her professional debut at The Boston Designers Collaborative Press Expo Fashion Show, showcasing her collection which ranged from swimwear and sportswear, to eveningwear and wedding gowns. Boston's leading fashion designer and BDC founder who currently resides in Europe showing his latest fashions in Paris and Italy, Geoffrey B. Small said of Lisa's collection, "very hip...very original, slick and elegant....tutto Perfetto!" and compared her work to the likes of Romeo Gigli, Blass, and Moschino.

Leather and suede became Lisa’s medium for creating after receiving her motorcycle endorsement in 2004. Taking her inspiration from the open road and motorcycle lifestyle, the design of her first collection for the Sexy Skins Brand created the perfect mélange between motorcycle chic and high fashion, while demonstrating her natural affinity with leather.
